Marc Keiser

Marc Keiser is an exercise physiologist at SMX Personal training in New Orleans. He received his bachelor’s degree in kinesiology from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, and earned a spot as a research assistant at the world renowned Pennington Biomedical Research Center. After a year as a research assistant, he was promoted to supervising the published study: Plasma Fibrinogen Carotid Thickness in Flow-Mediated Dilation: Influence of Age, Physical Activity and Function-Dec 2009. Upon completion of the study he decided to go back to Louisiana State University receiving his Master’s Degree in Exercise Physiology with a specialization in vascular biology. During his time in the graduate program he facilitated the development of the proposal for: The Fitt for Life Study under Dr. Michael Welsch and Dr. Neil Johhanson at Pennington Biomedical Center-Spring 2010. After graduating in May of 2011 he moved to New Orleans, where he now works at SMX Personal Training. In addition to his work as an exercise clinician, Marc also did some teaching through Delgado Community College where he instructed their personal training certification course. Marc continues to keep up with current trends and information through his professional affiliations as a member of the American College of Sports Medicine and the National Strength and Conditioning Association. Marc currently holds the title of Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the NASCA in addition to his CPT certification through the ACSM.
